
Forewing 15 – 17 mm. Body and wings grey to cream. Forewings with distinctive narrow black triangle on the inner margin, and vertical undulating black bar separated from the brown wing tip by a thin white line. Hindwings with grey shading to brown border.
Caterpillar is a tan semi-looper with a median longitudinal dark line separating the darker dorsal part of the body.
Caterpillars feed on the sweet thorn tree (Vachellia karroo). This species is bivoltine – meaning this moth can have two broods or generations in a year – and adults can be found throughout the year where conditions allow it.
